Founding KVRZ member Ralph Stever passed away early Wednesday morning, January 18th, following a short illness. Ralph's work with the Troy Fine Arts Council was an important part of getting 88.9 KVRZ on the air. Ralph will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest in Peace my friend...

88.9 KVRZ-FM is managed and operated by an all volunteer staff. Our goal is to provide our listeners with a variety and quality of programs you don't always hear from commercial broadcasters. Our broadcast antenna is located atop King Mountain near Troy, Montana. Our studio is located in downtown Libby.
Since KVRZ is a non-commercial radio station, we depend on financial contributions from our listeners and valued sponsors. This revenue allows us to make payments on equipment loans, pay BMI royalty fees and provide maintenance on our transmission and studio equipment.
KVRZ is a community effort and in order to become successful we'll invite members from all economic, civic and community groups to get involved. We'll improve our local economy by showcasing our valued sponsors and members of the Mining, Logging and Tourism industries. School Districts from all of the communities we serve will be encouraged to contact KVRZ staff to discuss the future deployment and available grants to develop a professional broadcasting internship program. This investment in our future will ensure the availability of talented and experienced young men and women to build and grow KVRZ for generations to come.
